Fido Playhouse opened in late 2018, born from a shared idea between Bunny, Rodolpho, and their longtime friend Tulio — three Brazilians in Brooklyn who believed dogs deserved better than what most daycares offered.

Bunny and Rodolpho moved to New York in 2017. Their two Shih Tzus had always been family, and that perspective shaped everything: dogs are not boarders, not customers — they are guests, treated with the same care anyone would give their own.

Tulio has called New York home for over two decades, with a career built entirely around dogs. He credits everything he knows to the dogs themselves.
